When
You have been working on several projects and tasks throughout the week. Use your personal timesheet to log the time worked on each task or project each day.

Log time to your timesheet

  1. Click Time () in Teamwork's main navigation menu.
  2. Select My timesheet.
  3. Scroll to the project or task you want to track time against.
💡 Don't see the task or project you need? Click Add project or task at the bottom of the timesheet to manually add it. Learn more about setting up your timesheet.
  4. Scroll horizontally to the day you want to track time against for that particular task (or project).
📝 There might already be time logged there! You're seeing the total time tracked against that item (for that day). If this is you: skip down to the next section below.
  5. Enter the time you worked on the task (or project) on that particular day.
         a. Ex: If you worked for two and a half hours, you can enter any of the following:
             2hr 30m, 2h 30m, 2:30, 2 30, 2.5
         b. Ex: If you worked 30 minutes, you can enter any of the following: 30m, .5, 0:30

A row for the individual time log is created and nested underneath the associated task (or project) row.

Log time to a task/project (that already has time logged)

Each day cell in a task or project row shows a roll up of all time entries you already logged for that item for that day. In order to log additional time to an item, you must increase the value in the total cell by the amount you want to add.

  1. Scroll to the task (or project) you want to track time against.
  2. Scroll horizontally to the day you want to track time against for that particular task (or project).
  3. Take note of how much is already logged. Decide how much additional time should be logged. Add the two together and that will be your new total that you enter.
  4. Enter the new total in the task (or project) cell for that day. Ex: Time currently logged (2hrs) + additional time worked (3hrs) = new total time (5hrs).

  5. Press Enter on your keyboard to log the time.

An additional row for that individual time log (3hrs) is added and nested underneath the associated task (or project) row.

Track (and log) time with timers

Edit individual time logs

You can manage a task or project's total logged time by updating its associated time logs directly in My timesheet.

  2. Scroll to the relevant nested time log.
  3. Update the duration field with the new amount. You can increase or decrease time logged here, which in turn adjusts the task or project's total time cell.
