What
Log, edit, delete, and manage your own time entries from My timesheet.
Why
  • Keep an accurate record of time spent on projects and tasks.

Who
Anyone with access to My timesheet can manage their own time entries, based on their project and task permissions.
When
Use My timesheet whenever you need to log time, review existing entries, update time details, or export your timesheet.

Before you start

  • The Time feature must be enabled for any project where you want to log time.
  • Your project and task permissions determine which items you can log time against.
  • All time logged by you can appear in My timesheet, regardless of where it was logged, such as from a task, project, timer, mobile app, Sheet view, or Calendar view.

Choose a timesheet view

My timesheet includes two main views for managing time.

Timesheet views control how you view and log time. If time approvals are enabled, your organization’s approval period controls when timesheets are submitted and approved.

Open My timesheet

  1. Click Time in Teamwork.com's main navigation menu.
  2. Select the My timesheet tab.
  3. Choose Sheet or Calendar, depending on how you want to review and log time.

Log time in My timesheet

  1. Open My timesheet.
  2. Navigate to the relevant day, week, or month.
  3. Choose the project or task you want to log time against.
  4. Enter the time value and any required details, such as description, billable status, or tags where available.
  5. Save the time entry.
Use Sheet view when you want structured rows for projects and tasks. Use Calendar view when you want to review or add time by date.

Log time with timers

You can track time with timers and have that time reflected in your timesheet.
  1. Start a timer from a task, project, or supported time-tracking location.
  2. Work while the timer runs.
  3. Stop the timer when you are finished.
  4. Save the tracked time as a time entry.
Timer-based entries appear in your timesheet alongside manually logged time, based on the date and project or task associated with the entry.

Edit time entries

  1. Open My timesheet.
  2. Find the time entry you want to update.
  3. Open the entry details.
  4. Update the duration, date, project, task, description, billable status, or other available fields.
  5. Save your changes.
If time approvals are enabled, approved timesheets may be locked. Locked entries may need to be re-opened before they can be edited.

Delete time entries

  1. Open My timesheet.
  2. Find the time entry you want to delete.
  3. Open the entry options menu.
  4. Select Delete.
  5. Confirm the deletion if prompted.

Export your timesheet

  1. Click the vertical ellipsis menu at the top of your timesheet.
  2. Select Export.
  3. Choose an export format:
    1. PDF
    2. CSV
    3. Excel
    4. Google Sheets (available on Grow and Scale subscriptions)

Best practices

  • Log time regularly: Add time throughout the day or week so entries stay accurate.
  • Use the right view: Use Sheet view for structured project/task rows, and Calendar view for date-based review.
  • Check billable status: Confirm whether entries are billable or non-billable before reporting or submitting time.
  • Review before submitting: If time approvals are enabled, review the full approval period before submitting your timesheet.
