| What | Use Sheet view in My
timesheet to view,
organize, and log time against
projects and tasks in a
tabular layout. |
|---|---|
| Why |
|
| Who | Anyone with access to My
timesheet can use
Sheet view to manage their own
time entries. |
| When | Use Sheet view when you want a
structured list of projects
and tasks for logging or
reviewing time. Sheet view can
be displayed by week or
month. |
← Swipe to
scroll
Before you start
- The Time feature must be turned on
for any project where you want to log
time.
- All time logged by you can appear in your
timesheet, regardless of where it was
logged, such as from a timer, task,
project, or mobile app.
- Your access to projects and tasks
determines which items you can add to your
timesheet.
Sheet
view and approval periods
Sheet view controls how you view and log
time. Approval periods control when timesheets
are submitted and approved.
| Concept | What it controls | Options |
|---|---|---|
| Sheet view | How your timesheet is
displayed while you review and
log time. | Week or month. |
| Approval period | How often timesheets are
submitted and approved when
time approvals are
enabled. | Weekly or monthly, depending
on your site’s time approval
settings. |
← Swipe to
scroll
Changing Sheet
view between week and month does not
change your organization’s approval
period. The submit option reflects your organization’s configured approval period.
Open Sheet view
- Click Time in Teamwork.com's main
navigation menu.
- Select the My timesheet tab.
- Select Sheet to use the tabular timesheet layout.

- Use the period selector to switch between week and month views.

Populate your
timesheet
Add the projects and tasks you want to log
time against in Sheet view.
- Choose which tasks to add:
- Add project or task: Add an
individual project or task to your
timesheet.
- Copy last week: Populate your
timesheet with projects and tasks from
the
previous week's timesheet (if
populated).
- View and drag tasks: Click the options menu (three dots) in the top right and select View tasks. You can then easily drag any available tasks not already added to the timesheet.
- Auto populate: Add assigned tasks automatically, then manually add any extra projects or tasks you need.
- Once the timesheet is populated with
relevant task and project rows, enter time
values into the relevant day fields.
Sheet view is
useful when you regularly log time against
the same set of projects or tasks, because
you can keep those rows visible while
updating time throughout the period.
Navigate your
timesheet
Use the controls at the top of Sheet view to
move between periods and adjust what you
see.
| Action | How it works |
|---|---|
| Move between periods | Use the arrows beside the
current period to move
backward or forward. |
| This week | Use the 'This week' button to return to the current week
or month. |
| Switch view period | Use the period selector to
switch Sheet view between week
and month. |
| Open Calendar view | Switch to Calendar view if you
want to review time in a
calendar-based layout. |
← Swipe to
scroll
Filter your
timesheet
Use filters to refine the projects, tasks,
and time entries shown in your
timesheet.
- Click Filter in the top right of
Sheet view.
- Select a filter field, such as project,
time, or timeframe.
- Choose the criteria you want to apply,
such as showing billable time only.
- Use More options to apply
additional filters where available.
- Repeat for each filter you want to
apply.

Your timesheet
updates automatically as filters are
applied. Clear filters when you want to
return to the full view.
Sort your
timesheet
Use Sort by at the top of Sheet view
to choose how projects and tasks are
ordered.
- Due date: Sort projects and tasks
by due date, with items that have no due
date organized after dated items.
- Projects / Tasks: Sort by project
or task name.
- Company name: Sort associated
projects and tasks by company.
- Last updated time log: Sort by the
most recently updated time entries.
Use the arrow
beside a sortable heading to switch
between ascending and descending order,
where available.
Best practices
- Review billable status: Check
whether time is billable or non-billable
before submitting or reporting on
it.
- Update regularly: Update your
timesheet throughout the week or month so
entries stay accurate.
- Use the right view: Use Sheet view
for structured project/task rows, or
Calendar view when you need a date-based
layout.
- Check before submitting: If time
approvals are enabled, review the full
approval period before submitting your
timesheet for approval.
