Before you start
- Enable time tracking for your site.
- Decide who will act as time approvers for
your organization.
- Define which users each approver is
responsible for.
- Weekly time periods determine approval
cycles — each week is approved as its own
timesheet.
Enable time
approvals
- Click your profile icon in
Teamwork.com's main navigation menu.
- Select Settings.
- Switch to the Time tab.
- Toggle on Enable time approvals.
Assign approvers &
scopes
- Click + Add an approver.
- Select a user from the dropdown.
- Choose whose time the approver can manage:
- Everyone: Leave the People
field unchanged.
- Specific people: Click the plus (+), then
select each relevant user from the
dropdown.
- Everyone: Leave the People
field unchanged.

Locked timesheets
- Once approved, a timesheet is locked and
cannot be edited or added to for that
week.
- Submitters can request that a locked
timesheet be reopened.
- Approvers and site admins can reopen
locked weeks to allow updates before
approving again.
