Before you start

  • A project must have the Time feature turned on before the project's members can track time for the project and its tasks.
  • All of your logged time is pulled into your timesheet (ex. using a timer, logging via the mobile app, etc.).

Time logs

Time logs are color-coded based on their status:
  • Billable (blue)
  • Non-billable (gray)
  • Billed (pink)
Hover over a time log to view its details. Click a billable or non-billable time log to edit it. Billed time cannot be edited.

Daily summary

The calendar's header row includes a roll up for each day, comparing logged time to working hours. Hover over this roll up to see a detailed breakdown:
  • Day and date
  • Hours logged
  • Capacity progress bar (hours logged vs. working hours)
  • Billable, non-billable, and billed time
📝 If a user has no working hours set for a specific day, capacity is not shown.

Totals

Running totals are displayed at the bottom of the calendar, counting all existing billable, non-billable, and billed time for the period being viewed. A weekly total of hours logged vs. working hours is displayed in the bottom right.

Best practices

  • Getting paid: Check the billable status for time logs so you're correctly tracking your billable and non-billable hours.
  • Make a routine: Update your timesheet at the end of each working day or week. Memories are fallible — updating things sooner vs. later makes things easier (and more accurate).
