What
Time approvals ensure weekly time entries are reviewed, corrected if needed, and formally approved before they impact billing, reporting, and project performance.
Why
  • Improve financial accuracy and consistency across teams.
  • Create structured review flows between submitters and approvers.
  • Prevent late edits with automatic locking after approval.
  • Ensure approvers only see the users they are responsible for.
Who
  • Site admins configure the feature, assign approvers, and manage locked weeks.
  • Approvers (admins or permissioned users) review and approve submitted time.
  • All users who log time submit their weekly timesheets for review.

How time approvals work

Time approvals follow a weekly cycle. Team members log time, submit their timesheet, and an assigned approver reviews and approves it. Approved weeks become locked to maintain accuracy, and approvers or site admins can reopen locked weeks when necessary.
