  • Hover over the task and press T on your keyboard.

When you select the Log Time option, a modal will open for you to fill out the time entry details.

Note: The Billable checkbox in the time logging modal will be checked or unchecked by default based on the project or task list's billable default setting. You can update this preference for the current time log.

When logging time on a task, you can also click the lock icon to keep the duration as it has been set when you change either start or end time.

If you then change either the start or end time the other will change to match the set time spent.

Click Multiple People below the Who field to log time for multiple individuals at once. A separate time entry (with the specified time spent amount) will be created for each selected user. Ex. Selecting three users and setting the time spent to 2 hours will create a 2-hour time log for each of those users.

You can also log time or start a timer directly from the project's Time tab.

Logging time via email

You can log time to a task via email by adding a duration in square brackets as part of your reply to a task notification email.

Time duration can be specified any of the following ways:

  • [1h], [1m], [1h 25m], [1.5], or [1:30]
Time description - add the relevant text between curly brackets. You can also reference tags within the description brackets to add tags to the time entry:

  • {Time log description #TagName}
By default, time logged via email will be marked as non-billable. To specify billable time, add #billable on a separate line of your reply.
