💡 Did you know? You can view tracked time for multiple projects at once:
  1. Click Time from Teamwork.com's main navigation menu, then switch to the All time section.
  2. Use the same sorting and filtering as you can from an individual project, as well as additional sort (project, company) and filter (project, project status) options.

View a task's logged time

While all time tracked against individual tasks (either manually or using a timer) can be viewed from the associated project's Time section, you can also view tracked time details directly from an individual task.

The logged time details (and how you view them) differ between List and Table view. We'll take you through the options for both in the steps below.

List view

  1. Click Jump to in Teamwork.com's main navigation menu.
  2. Search for and select a project.
  3. Switch to List from the project's navigation bar. The List tab might be hidden under the More... option.
    • Any tasks with tracked time display the task's tracked time total beside the task's name. This is the total for the individual task (excluding its subtasks).
  4. Hover over the Log total to see a breakdown of time tracked against the task (and its subtasks). The breakdown shows:
    Time Logged
The task's total logged time and proportion marked as billable
    Subtasks

    Total
The task group's total logged time (parent task & subtasks)

📝 In List view, estimated time is displayed in a separate Est. count beside the task's name. This total includes estimates on the task's subtasks.

Table view

  1. Switch to Table from the project's navigation bar. The Table tab might be hidden under the More... option.
    • The task's logged time total is displayed in the Logged time field and does not include subtasks' logged time.
  2. Click the task's name to open the task details panel.
  3. Scroll to Time Logs, then hover over the Logged total. The breakdown shows:

    Non-billable

Best practices

  • Create a routine: Update your timesheet at the end of each working day. Updating things sooner vs. later makes things easier and more accurate.
  • Review tracked time: Make a habit of reviewing your tracked time at the end of each week and log any time you might have missed.
  • Report: Leverage filters to create a tailored time report you can easily export and share with key stakeholders or simply to have on hand to review at the end of the month.
