Within Teamwork.com, you can use project specific tags to help manage and organize your projects and project items.
You can create, edit, merge, and
view project specific tags from both your site settings and within individual projects.
To manage project specific tags in a
project, go to the project’s Settings area and
select the Tags tab.
Note: Owner company administrators and
project administrators have access to manage
tags within an individual project.
In the Tags area, you can search
existing tags by name, sort the existing tags
list, and create new tags.
Creating a project specific
tag
To create a new tag for your
project, click the green Add New
Tag button in the top right
corner. In the New Tag modal, you can add a
tag name and select a color.
The Project Specific toggle
will be enabled by default and can not be
removed. Any tags created in the Tags area of
a project will be specific to that
project.
Editing a project specific
tag
To edit an existing project specific
tag, select the tag from the list to highlight
it. An options menu will become visible to the
right of the search box.
Click the edit pencil icon to amend
the tag name, change color, or make the tag
available to all projects.
Note: Once available to all
projects, the tag will be removed from the
previously-associated project’s Tags
area.
Merging project specific
tags
If you select more than one tag from
the list, you will see the pencil icon change
to allow you to merge those tags.
Selecting the merge icon allows you
to combine all selected tags into one single
tag. You will have the option to name this new
tag before merging.
Once merged, the overall count of
the individual tags will appear on the newly
created one.
Project items using the old merged
tags will now be tagged with the new
tag.
Using a project specific
tag
When applying a tag to any project
item, the tags dropdown will open with all of
your existing tags. Any project specific tags
for the project you are in will be listed
first, with your remaining tags available
below.
Click
the Hide option to only
display project specific tags in the
dropdown.
Filtering project specific
tags
When filtering certain project items
within a project, project-specific tags will
be listed first followed by any site-level
tags.
Viewing tagged
items
To view project items using
certain tags, select the relevant tag(s)
to highlight them then click the
magnifying glass icon from the options
menu.
You will then be taken to
the advanced
search area, populated with a
list of any project items using those
tags.
Deleting a project specific
tag
To delete a tag, select the tag
to be deleted. From the options menu,
click the trash can icon. A popup modal
will appear asking you to confirm the
deletion of the selected tags.
Note: Once a tag is
deleted, it will be removed from any
associated items.
