| Who | Anyone who logs time in Teamwork.com. |
This is step 4 of 5 in the Team Member onboarding path. About 10 minutes.
Log your time
Option 1: Use a timer as you work
- Start a timer from the task itself by clicking its clock or play icon. Or open Quick add and select Start timer (shortcut: hold Q, then press S).
- Choose the project and task, add a short description, and mark it billable or non-billable.
- Pause the timer when you take a break, and resume when you come back.
- When you finish, click stop, check the details, and select Log time.
Option 2: Add time in your timesheet
- Select Time in the main navigation, then open the My timesheet tab.
- Choose Sheet or Calendar view.
- Pick the day, choose the project or task, and enter the time with a description.
- Save the entry.
Check and submit your time
- At the end of each day or week, check My timesheet for gaps or mistakes, and fix them.
- If your team uses timesheet approvals, submit your timesheet for the period so your approver can review it.
Tip: Always log time against a task, not just the project. It makes reports and invoices much clearer.
Done when
- You have logged time on a task using a timer or your timesheet.
- You know how to check and, if needed, submit your timesheet.
