Marker.io enables you and your team to collect visual feedback about your website from clients and other stakeholders.
Within Marker.io, you can capture, annotate and log issues directly to your projects as tasks.
You will first need to enable the integration in your Marker.io account and install the browser extension.
Note: Having at least one existing project in Teamwork.com is a pre-requisite in order to push screenshots from the Marker.io extension.
Using the extension
When viewing the web page you want to create a task for, click the Marker.io icon in your browser toolbar.
This will open the Marker.io extension, where you can choose from the following options:
| Visible area | Click or press SPACE to capture the currently visible area. |
| Entire page | Click or press E to capture the entire page. |
| Desktop | Click or press D to capture your desktop. |
| Browse your screenshots | Click to open your Marker.io account. |
| Settings | Manage your team and settings. |
| Exit | Close out of the extension. |
Once you make a screen selection using the extension, a new browser tab will open with the screen capture.
At the top of the page, you will be able to select your destination. You also have a formatting toolbar here with annotation options to edit the image before logging it.
In the top left, select the Teamwork.com destination project for the task. The dropdown menu will show your existing destination, along with options to add a new destination and manage existing ones.
Once you have selected a project, you can choose a task list.
To the right of the task title field, you also have the option to View all fields if you need to add more information to your task.
This will open a separate modal allowing you to fill out additional task properties such as tags, priority, and task dates. You can also toggle the bug report template option here.
Once you have filled out the task details, click Create task to add the task to the selected destination in Teamwork.com.
The screenshot will be processed and the task will be added to the selected task list. The task will include any details you added when creating it, along with the source URL and environment information.
