Within Teamwork.com, you can add files directly to your projects via email.
Note: Any project members with the project permission to Add Files can use the post via email feature.
Each project has a unique email address that allows you to upload files by sending an email with the files attached to that project's email address.
Note: You will have to attach the files to the email for the upload to work. Inserting into the body of the email will not work.
In the Files area of your project, click the options button (three dots) in the top right and select Post a File via Email from the dropdown menu.
In the post via email modal, click the Copy button to the right of the email address to copy the address to your clipboard.
Additional email options
- You can append private+ to the email address to make the files private
- You can specify which category to add the file to. In the subject line add [#My Category]. If the category already exists, we use it; if not, we create a new category.
- You can use this address to send a HTML marked-up email without any attachments, this will be saved and added as a new file to your project.
File limit
- There is a combined upload limit of 100MB per email.
Note: Do not use the file-by-email address to post files from automated systems that could generate hundreds of files. Abuse of this feature will result in suspension of the feature from your account.
