Xero is a cloud-based accounting software
platform that enables you to track your
finances, manage invoices, and reconcile
accounts.
You can export an invoice from a Teamwork.com project to your Xero
Online account.
💡 Xero must first be
enabled for
your site and
the
project(s) you want to use it on.
Export an invoice to Xero
- Click Jump
to in
Teamwork.com's main
navigation
menu.
- Search for and
select a
project.
- Select the
project's Finance tab.
- Switch to
the Billing subsection.
- Select the relevant invoice from the left panel. You can export open or completed invoices.
- Click Export Invoice in the bottom left.
- Select Export
to Xero
Online as the
export option.
- Click Export.
- Select a client to
invoice. If no clients are
found, you'll need to create some
in Xero before completing the
export.
- Choose an invoice type:
- Create a new invoice.
- Add to an existing
invoice.
- Select an invoice from the
dropdown.
- Select Teamwork.com invoice details to
be added to the line item descriptions
in the Xero invoice.
- Click Export.
In Xero,
you will see the invoice listed under the
associated client. Each expense or time
entry added to the invoice in Teamwork.com
will appear as a new line item in the Xero
invoice.

In
Teamwork.com, a link to the Xero invoice is
displayed at the top of the invoice.
- View: Click the link to open
the invoice in
your associated Xero account.
- Unlink: Click the trash
can icon to unlink the
invoice.
