Dropbox is a file hosting service
that
offers cloud storage and file
synchronization.
Within Teamwork.com, you can
integrate your site with Dropbox in order
to enable it for
individual projects.
📝 The Dropbox
integration only supports personal Dropbox
accounts.
Enabling the Dropbox integration
at site-level will not result in any file
syncing. This is done at project
level.
Once connected, you can link to your
files from your Dropbox account directly
in the Files area of the project, or
attach them to tasks or messages like you
would with any files you have uploaded
directly.
First, you will need to
authorize Teamwork.com to connect to your
Dropbox account.
To do this, click your profile avatar in the
bottom left of your site and select Apps
and integrations from the pop-out
menu.
Note: Only owner company site
administrators can enable the Dropbox
integration at site and project level.
In the Integrations area, scroll to
the Dropbox section and click the Enable button.
You will then have the option to
authorize one Dropbox account for your entire
site or allow each project to authorize a
different account.
Once you click Save Changes, you will
be brought to a Dropbox authentication screen
to log in and authorize the integration using
your relevant Dropbox credentials.
When authorizing one Dropbox account
for your
site, you will see an option to select a top
level folder.
This allows you to control which files in
your Dropbox account are accessible
from
Teamwork.com.
When you then enable Dropbox on individual
projects, you will be able to choose this
folder for the specific project or set the
project folder as any of the ones within this
root folder.
If you have selected for each
project to authorize a separate Dropbox
account, the account and folder selection
process will take place at project
level.
