Within Teamwork Spaces, you can
create page templates that can be utilized to populate future pages in your spaces.
Go to the Home area of your site and click the Templates option at the bottom of the left navigation pane.
Note: All users on your site have
access to the Templates area and can
create templates.
Creating custom
templates
In the Custom templates section, click
the New template button in
the top right. Alternatively, you will see
a Create template option
in the middle of the page if you do not have
any existing templates.
The template editor will open where
you can set a title for the template and start
adding content to the
page.
You can use the toolbar at the top of
the page to format your content. Once you
have added and
customized the relevant content,
click Save at the top of
the editor.
The following options are not
supported in the template editor:
- Collaborative editing
- Inline comments
- Attachments widget
- Gallery widget
- User mentions
- Undo/redo buttons (keyboard shortcuts are supported)
- Toggle between full width and reduced width
The template will be added to the Custom
templates section.
Saving a published page as a
template
You can also create a new
template
from an existing published page in your
space.
Open the relevant page in view mode,
click the three dots in the upper right corner
and select Save to
templates from the dropdown
menu.
Note: You cannot save a
page as a template unless it has existing
content.
In the confirmation modal, the
template name field will be auto-populated
with the original page's name. You can update
this before saving, with a name of up to 255
characters in length.
Click Save
template to add it to your
site.
Note: You cannot save a space Home page or private pages (whether
restricted to editors, specific members or
only 'me') as a
template.
