Within Teamwork, adjustments to your
subscription are billed on a pro rata basis.
You can make changes to your subscription
at any time. Your site will update
immediately to reflect the changes.
Payment adjustments reflecting changes to
your subscription will be invoiced
immediately.
- If you add more users to your
subscription, you will be billed for those
users immediately, and your subscription
renewal date will remain unchanged.
- If you remove users from your
subscription, you will be credited
immediately for those users' remaining
unused time in the current billing cycle,
and your subscription renewal date will
remain unchanged.
- If you change from monthly to annual
billing, you will be billed immediately,
and a new subscription cycle will start
from that date.
- If you change plan, e.g. from Pro/Deliver
to Premium/Grow, you will be billed
immediately for the upgrade cost, and your
subscription renewal date will remain
unchanged.
Note: When applying a change to
your subscription, you will only be charged
for the increase amount, not the full
subscription total. The balance corresponding
to the change will be displayed as
a Due now total in the order
confirmation page.
Adding users to a monthly subscription
When you add users to your monthly
subscription during your billing cycle, those
new users are added to your subscription for
the remainder of the billing period, and you
will be invoiced for the additional users
immediately.
If you were to add 5 new users midway through
your monthly cycle, those 5 users are being
purchased for the remaining half of that
month.
Example: John is currently
on a monthly Pro/Deliver plan, with 10
users, renewing on the 1st of each month.
- Subscription: $13.99 x 10 = $139.99 ex
VAT monthly
- On 14th of February, John adds 5 users
($69.95 extra per month to the
original subscription)
- This change is charged pro rata i.e.
the time remaining from when the
change was made until their next
renewal date. In this case, it's 14
days (14th Feb to 28th Feb)
- $69.95 / 28 (# days in the full
billing cycle) = $2.49 x 14 days
(used time)
= $34.97 used
time to be charged immediately.
- Next invoice on 1st March: $209.85 (new 15 user total)
Date | Users | Rate ($) | Months | Days | Total | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Renewal | 1 Feb 2022 | 10 | $13.99 | 1 | $139.99 | |
Adjustment | 14 Feb 2022 | + 5 | $13.99 | 1 | 14 | $34.97 |
Renewal | 1 Mar 2022 | 15 | $13.99 | 1 | $209.85 |
Adding users to an annual subscription
When you add users to your annual
subscription during your billing
cycle, those new users are added to
your subscription for the remainder of
the billing period, and you will be
invoiced for the additional users
immediately.
If you were to add 4 new users during
your annual cycle, those 4 users are
being purchased for the remainder of
that year.
Example: Sarah is
currently on an annual Premium/Grow
plan, with 10 users, renewing on the
1st of each year.
- Subscription: $17.99 x 10 users x 12
months =$2158.80 ex VAT annually
- On 15th of May, Sarah adds 4 users
($863.52 extra per year to the
original subscription)
- This change is charged pro rata i.e.
the time remaining from when the
change was made until their next
renewal date. In this case, it's 231
days (15th May 2022 to 1st Jan 2023)
- $863.52 / 365 (# days in the full
billing cycle) = $2.37 x 231 days
(used time)
= $546.50 used
time to be charged immediately.
- Next invoice on 1st Jan 2023: $3022.32 (new 14 user total)
Date | Users | Rate ($) | Months | Days | Total | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Subscription | 1 Jan 2022 | 10 | $17.99 | 12 | 365 | $2158.80 |
Adjustment | 15 May 2022 | + 4 | $17.99 | 7.59 | 231 | $546.50 |
Renewal | 1 Jan 2023 | 14 | $17.99 | 12 | 365 | $3,022.32 |
Removing users from an existing subscription
When you remove users from your
subscription during your billing
cycle, those new users are removed
from your subscription immediately.
The unused time for those users in
that period will be credited
immediately.
If you were to remove 5 users midway
through your billing cycle, those 5
users are unused for the remaining
half of that period.
Example: Matt is
currently on a monthly Pro/Deliver
plan, with 10 users, renewing on the
1st of each month.
- Subscription: $13.99 x 10 = $139.99 ex
VAT monthly
- On 14th of February, Matt removes 5
users ($69.95 less per month to the
original subscription)
- This change is credited pro rata i.e.
the time remaining from when the
change was made until their next
renewal date. In this case, it's 14
days (14th Feb to 28th Feb)
- $69.95 / 28 (# days in the full
billing cycle) = $2.49 x 14 days
(unused time)
= $34.97 unused
time to be credited immediately.
- Next invoice on 1st March: $69.95 (new
5 user total)
Date | Users | Rate ($) | Months | Days | Total | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Renewal | 1 Feb 2022 | 10 | $13.99 | 1 | 28 | $139.99 |
Adjustment | 14 Feb 2022 | - 5 | $13.99 | 14 | $34.97 | |
Renewal | 1 Mar 2023 | 5 | $13.99 | 1 | $69.95 |
Switching from monthly to annual billing
When you change the billing cycle for
your subscription from monthly to annual,
the date of the modification becomes the
new annual subscription date - renewals
going forward will follow this date.
Note: You will be invoiced at
the time of the switch, and payment for
the new annual subscription will be taken,
with the annual billing cycle beginning
that day.
The time remaining on the monthly
subscription is credited towards
the annual subscription. If your monthly
renewal date was June 20th, and you switch
to annual on June 8th, you will be
credited the unused monthly time from June
8th - 20th.
Example: Margaret is
currently on a monthly Pro/Deliver
plan with 10 users, renewing on the
1st of each month.
- Subscription: $13.99 x 10 users = $139.99 ex VAT monthly
- On 14th of February, Margaret switches
from monthly to annual billing
- There are still 14 days remaining on
the monthly subscription
- $139.99 / 2 OR [($139.99 / 28 days) * 14
days remaining] = $69.99 credit
- Annual subscription: $9.99 x 10 users x
12 months = $1,198.80
- Margaret is charged $1,128.81 ($1,198.80 -
$69.99 credit) on 14th February
2022 (date of change = new renewal
date)
Date | Users | Rate ($) | Months | Days | Total | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Renewal | 1 Feb 2022 | 10 | $13.99 | 1 | $139.99 | |
Adjustment | 14 Feb 2022 | 10 | $9.99 | 12 | $1,128.81 | |
Unused Time Feb | 10 | $13.99 | 1 | 14 | - $69.99 | |
14 Feb 2023 | 10 | $9.99 | 12 | $1,198.80 |

Legacy plans
If you make a change to
your existing subscription on a
legacy plan such as Small Office or
Professional, you will be immediately
invoiced for the proration changes.
Example: Jane is currently on
a monthly Small Office plan, renewing
on the 1st of each month.
- Subscription: $69 ex VAT monthly
- On 15th of April, Jane changes her
subscription to the Professional plan
($100 more per month to the original
subscription)
- This change is charged pro rata i.e. the
time remaining from when the change was
made until their next renewal date. In
this case, it's 15 days (15th April to
30th April) is offset against the charge
for the new plan.
- Charge: $169 / 30 (Professional plan /
# days in the full billing cycle) =
$5.63 x 15 days (remaining time for
April on new plan) = $84.50 remaining
time to be charged immediately, less
the credit for unused time on Small
Office.
- Credit: $69 / 30 (Small office / #
days in the full billing cycle) =
$2.30 x 15 days (unused time on Small
Office) = $34.50 unused time to be
credited against the increased cost
for Professional.
Date | Rate ($) | Months | Days | Total | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Renewal | 1 April 2022 | $69 | 1 | $69 | |
Adjustment | 15 April 2022 | $169 | | 15 | $84.50 |
Unused Time April | $69 | 1 | 15 | - $34.50 | |
Invoice | 15 April 2022 | $50 | |||
May Renewal | 1 May 2022 | $169 | 1 | $169 |
