Before you start

  • All-day events such as out-of-office events are displayed in the all-day panel in My Calendar.

  • Your ability to edit an Outlook Calendar event within Teamwork.com depends on your Outlook Calendar permissions.

    ⚠️ Third-party integrations that generate events in your Outlook Calendar may cause issues when syncing to your My Calendar view in Teamwork.com.

Connect to Outlook Calendar via My Calendar




  1. Click Home in Teamwork.com's main navigation menu.
  2. Switch to the My Calendar tab.
  3. Click Connect to Calendar at the top of the view.
  4. Click Outlook Calendar to open the connect window.
  5. Pick the Microsoft account you want to connect.
  6. Enter your Microsoft account password.
  7. Review the calendar access permissions to grant Teamwork.com permission to view and manage Outlook Calendar events.This allows Teamwork.com to see, edit, share, and permanently delete all events you can access using Outlook Calendar.
  8. Once permissions are approved, click Close to close the connect window.


or, Connect to Outlook Calendar via My Apps

Alternatively, you can connect via My Apps:
  1. Click your profile in the bottom-left corner, then click My Apps in the popover.
  2. Navigate to the Outlook Calendar tile and click Sign in with Microsoft.Image Placeholder
  3. Pick the Microsoft account you want to connect.
  4. Enter your Microsoft account password.
  5. Review the calendar access permissions to grant Teamwork.com permission to view and manage Outlook Calendar events.
  6. Once permissions are approved, click Close to close the connect window.. 


View Outlook Calendar events

Once you authorize your Outlook account, your Outlook Calendar events will be synced to your personal Teamwork.com calendar.
  1. Click Home in Teamwork.com's main navigation menu.
  2. Switch to the My Calendar tab.

Edit a Outlook Calendar event


Note: If you're part of the Early Access program for this feature, editing & responding to events functionality may be limited.

Use drag and drop to update linked Outlook Calendar events (time slots or all-day events). You can change start and end times of time-based events, and start and end dates of all-day events.
  1. Click Home in Teamwork.com's main navigation menu.
  2. Switch to the My Calendar tab.
  3. Scroll to the relevant Outlook event. Use the date picker in the view’s top left to navigate between weeks.
  4. Hover over the event.
  • Reschedule: Click and hold the event, then drag it to a new time slot on the same day or a different day.
  • Adjust duration: Click the event's top or bottom edge and drag it to a new position to extend or reduce the event's duration.

The event’s details are updated in My Calendar and in your Outlook Calendar.



Respond to a Outlook Calendar event invite


Note: If you're part of the Early Access program for this feature, editing & responding to events functionality may be limited.

Respond to invites directly from My Calendar.

  1. Click Home in Teamwork.com's main navigation menu.
  2. Switch to the My Calendar tab.
  3. Scroll to the relevant Outlook event. Use the date picker to navigate between weeks.
  4. Click the event.
  5. Select your response at the bottom of the pop-up: Yes, No, or Maybe.


Log time from a Outlook Calendar event

Track and log time spent on Outlook Calendar events to associated projects and tasks.

πŸ”‘ You can only log time on projects where you have permission.

  1. Click Home in Teamwork.com's main navigation menu.
  2. Switch to the My Calendar tab.
  3. Scroll to the relevant Outlook event. Need to track time for a previous week? Use the date picker to navigate.
  4. Hover over the event and click the clock icon in the top-left corner.Image Placeholder
  5. Review and update the time log details:
  • Date – auto-filled with the event’s date
  • Project – auto-filled with your most recently accessed project
  • Task – optionally select a task from the project
  • Start & end time – auto-filled from the event
  • Time spent
  • Description – auto-filled with the event name
  • Tags

A time log is created in the selected project and visible in the project's Time area.

To update or delete the time log:

  • Click the clock icon again, then choose Delete time log β†’ Yes, delete time log.
  • Or, click the event, then choose Edit time log.


Disconnect Outlook Calendar

  1. Click Home in Teamwork.com's main navigation menu.
  2. Switch to the My Calendar tab.
  3. Click My Calendars in the top-right corner.
  4. Hover over your linked Outlook account (your email address).
  5. Click the trash can icon.
  6. Select Yes, remove in the confirmation window.

Alternatively:

  1. Go to My Apps via your profile.
  2. Find the Outlook tile.
  3. Click the three dots next to the connected calendar.
  4. Select Remove sync.Image Placeholder

Your Outlook Calendar account is now unlinked, and all Outlook events are removed from your Teamwork.com calendar.
