Log time to your
timesheet
- Click Time () in Teamwork's main navigation menu. You'll land on My timesheet.
- Find the row with the task (or
project) you want to track time
against.
- Go to the cell at the intersection of the task's row and the day you want to log time against.📝 There might already be time logged there! You're seeing the total time tracked against that item (for that day). If this is you: skip down to the edit time section below.
- Enter the time you worked on the task on that particular day.a. Ex: If you worked for two and a half hours, you can enter any of the following:2hr 30m, 2h 30m, 2:30, 2 30, 2.5b. Ex: If you worked 30 minutes, you can enter any of the following: 30m, .5, 0:30
- Press Enter to log the time.
A child row for that
individual time log is added
underneath the main parent
row.
Log
time to a
task/project (that
already
has time
logged)
Each cell in the
parent
task or project row shows a
roll
up of all time entries you
already
logged for that item for that
day.
In order to log additional
time to
an item, you should increase
the
value in the total cell by the
amount you want to add.
- From My timesheet,
find the row with the task (or
project) you want to track
time against.
- Go to the cell at the
intersection of the item row
and the day you want to log
time against.
- Take note of how much is already logged. Decide how much additional time should be logged. Add the two together and that will be your new total.a. Ex: Time currently logged (2hrs) + additional time worked (3hrs) = new total time (5hrs)
- Enter the new total in the main cell. That would be 5hrs in the example above.
- Press Enter to log
the time.
An additional child row (3hrs) for that individual
time log is added underneath the
main parent row.
⚠️ It
is not possible to reduce the time
in the total cell for a project or
task. You will need to edit or
delete
the individual time logs to adjust
the
time in the total cell.
Track (and log) time
with timers
Use timers as another option for logging
time. Click the play icon
beside a task or project
in your timesheet to start a
timer. Don't forget to log
the tracked time once
you're
finished.
Pause () | Pause the
running
timer. |
Resume () | Resume / start a
timer. |
Stop / Log time
() | Stop a timer and log
the
tracked time. |

💡 You
can drag and drop a timer to move it
around
the
screen.
Add a
project or
task to your timesheet
In addition to tasks assigned to
you that are auto
populated in your timesheet, you
can
also manually add projects and
other
tasks
to the view.
📝 Manually
added task
rows remain visible week to week,
from when they were added until
such time as the task is
completed.
- Click Time ()
in the main navigation. You'll
land
on My
timesheet.
- Click + Add project/task at the bottom of the view.
- Select the project you want to track time against.
- Choose a task. This is optional but highly recommended for the more granular time tracking.
- Next:
- Add individual: Click Add. A project (or task) row is added to your timesheet.
- Add multiple: Click the downward arrow next to Add and select Save and add another. The row saves the window refreshes - choose a project and task and click Save and add another for each individual row you want to add.
You can now
track time on the selected project (or
task)
from My
timesheet.
