The insights panel displays configurable widgets that help you monitor project health, performance, and reporting data within supported reports in Teamwork.com.
Why
  • View key metrics in context.
  • Customize how reporting data is displayed.
  • Get answers faster without switching between reports.
Who
  • Site administrators can access the reports gallery, open supported reports (such as the Project health report), and manage available insights panel widgets across all projects.
  • Standard users with project administrator permission on at least one project can access the reports gallery. They can open supported reports and manage insights panel widgets for projects they're an admin on.
For the widgets available today, site administrators and project administrators can see and use all widgets that are available on their plan.
When
Use the insights panel to review project performance, track progress, and monitor budget and delivery risks in one place.

Where the insights panel appears

The insights panel is currently available in the Project health report. Support for additional reports and widgets will be added over time.

Manage the insights panel

Open the Insights menu

  1. Select Reports in Teamwork.com's main navigation menu.
  2. Select Project health.
  3. If the panel is hidden, click Insights ▾ in the report toolbar.

Hide the insights panel

  1. Click Insights ▾.
  2. Select Hide panel.


Add and organize widgets

Add a widget

  1. Click Insights ▾.
  2. Select Add widget.
  3. Select a widget to add it to the panel. Use the search field to find a widget if needed.

Widgets already added are labeled "Added" in the widget list.



Rearrange widgets

  • Drag and drop a widget to change its position within the panel.

Move a widget

  1. Select the menu on the widget.
  2. Click Move.

Customize widgets

Rename a widget

  1. Select the ellipsis () menu on the widget.
  2. Click Rename.

Change chart type

  1. Select the ellipsis () menu on a widget.
  2. Select Show as.
  3. Choose a chart type:
    • Vertical bar chart
    • Horizontal bar chart
    • Pie chart
    • Donut chart


Remove widgets

  1. Select the ellipsis () menu on a supported widget.
  2. Click Delete.

Removing a widget does not delete underlying project data.

Understand widget states

  • Widgets may show an empty state when no data matches the selected timeframe.
  • Adjust the report date range to view data from different periods.

The following widgets are currently available in the Project health insights panel. Additional widgets will be introduced over time, including enhancements to project health reporting and new insights across other reports.
Some widgets listed as Coming soon are part of the Project health insights panel but are not yet available in production.

Panel limits

The number of visible widgets you can add depends on your plan. Remove an existing widget before adding another if you reach your limit.

Keep in mind

  • Removing a widget does not delete underlying data.
  • Widget availability and limits may change over time.
  • The insights panel will become available in more reports over time. The same panel and widget management options apply, although available widgets may vary by report.
