Within Teamwork Projects, you have the option to change the dates of dependent tasks and subtasks automatically when changing the dates on the predecessor task.

Changing the dates of a task with subtasks

When adjusting the dates of a parent tasks, you can use the Also adjust the date of this tasks subtasks? option on the bottom left of the date selector model for the task to also update the dates of any associated subtasks.

For example, when auto-adjust is selected, if you move the start date of a parent task forward by three days, any associated subtasks will also have their start dates moved by three days.

If the checkbox is not selected, the dates chosen will not affect the dates of the subtasks.

Changing the dates of a task with dependent tasks

When adjusting the dates of a task that has dependencies linked to it, you can use the Also adjust the date of this task's 1 dependent? option to update the dates of any dependent tasks.

For example, when auto-adjust is selected, if you move the due date of a predecessor task back by one day, any dependent tasks will also have their due dates moved back by one day.

If the checkbox is not selected, the dates chosen will not affect the dates of the subtasks.

You also have the option of changing dates of tasks with dependencies on the Gantt Chart.
