Float allows
you to to plan your projects
and schedule your team's time
all in one place via a visual
resource
planner.

Within Float, you can
integrate your account with Teamwork.com to
schedule your team's tasks.
When you log in
to your Float account,
click your profile
icon and
select Team
settings from
the dropdown
menu.
In the settings area, select
the Integrations tab
in the left sidebar.
Under Project Management, you will see a
section for Teamwork. Click the Connect button on the right to start the setup.
You will be brought to the
Teamwork.com login launchpad to
enter
your login credentials for the
account you want to
link.
If
the email
address is
associated
with multiple
sites, you
will need to
choose the
relevant site. You
will
then
be
asked
to
grant
access
permissions
to
your
site
for
the
integration.
Once you log in to Teamwork.com, you will be
redirected to the
integration settings where you can choose
which items to sync.
In the Projects section, all
projects currently active in your Teamwork.com
account will be selected for syncing by
default. You can uncheck this option if you do
not want any existing projects brought into
Float.
To choose a custom subset of
projects to be synced, click
the Select projects button on
the right. This will open a pop-up modal where
you can check and uncheck the relevant
projects before clicking Continue at the bottom of the list.
At the bottom of the Projects
section, you can also set whether future
projects created in Teamwork.com should be synced
to Float.
In the People section, all users
currently active in your Teamwork.com account
will be selected for syncing by default.
You can uncheck this option if you do not
want any existing users brought into
Float.
To choose a custom subset of users to be
synced, click the Select
people button on the right.
This will open a pop-up modal where you
can check and uncheck the relevant people
before clicking Continue at
the bottom of the list.
Similarly to projects, you can also set
whether future people added in Teamwork.com
should be synced to Float.
Once you have set your project
and people preferences for syncing, click
the Connect to
Teamwork button at the bottom
of the page.
Your existing Teamwork.com data (if selected)
will be pulled over to Float. The integration
settings will detail the number of projects
and people synced.
You can only sync with one project
management tool at a time in Float. To
disconnect the integration,
click Edit. At the bottom of
the integration details page,
select Disconnect Teamwork.
Sync notes
- Projects, people, and tasks created in
Float are not synced to
Teamwork.com.
- Subtasks will not be imported from
Teamwork.com.
- If you change the name or assignee of
a task in Teamwork.com, those changes will
be reflected on the tasks in the
Teamwork.com sidebar in Float. However,
tasks you have already scheduled will
not be updated.
- If you edit the name of a scheduled
task in Float, the task name will not
be updated in the Teamwork.com sidebar or
in Teamwork.com itself.
- The project owner in Teamwork.com will be
assigned as the Float project owner if
that user already exists in Float with
access rights.
- Team members will be assigned to the
project in Float if they have at least
one task already assigned in
Teamwork.com.
- If you disconnect a project that has
scheduled tasks, the project is
removed from the Teamwork.com
sidebar.
- A copy of the project and its
tasks will remain in Float
- Projects without scheduled tasks
will be removed completely.
