What
Schedule pre-built reports to be sent (either one at a time or at a regular cadence) to teammates that need it.
Why
  • Increase visibility and alignment by sending key data directly to teammates' email inboxes.

Before you start

Schedule a report

You can view and schedule Teamwork.com-generated reports and custom reports from the reports gallery.

  1. Click More in the left navigation and select Reports.


      
  2. Click a report's title to view the report.

  3. Click the ... (ellipsis) at the top of the report.
  4. Select Schedule Report to open the scheduled reporting wizard.

  5. Select the Schedule tab.

  6. Give the report a name.
  7. Click Add user to select recipients for the report. Make sure to add anyone who should be receiving the report.
  8. Choose a date and time to deliver the report.
  9. Set a repeat cadence to run the report regularly. Psst! This one is optional, but we highly recommend it.
    1. Select the repeat checkbox to reveal the interval options:
      1. Choose a day, week, month, or custom interval.
      2. Set and end date for the schedule.



  10. Select the file format the report will be delivered in.
    📝 Available options: CSV, Excel, PDF.
  11. Click Create Scheduled Report.
  12. Click Confirm.

Your report will be sent out on the scheduled day(s)!

View existing scheduled reports

Existing scheduled reports are listed in the scheduled reporting wizard.

  1. Click More in the left navigation and select Reports.
  2. Select an existing report (any report).
  3. Click the ... (ellipsis) at the top of the report.
  4. Select Scheduled Report to open the scheduled reporting wizard.

  5. Select the Manage tab.

The following details are displayed for each report:

Report name
The report's title.
Report schedule
When the report is scheduled to send or the report's repeat interval schedule.
Recipients
A list (with avatars) of people who will receive the report.
Creator
The name of the person who originally created the report.
Active status
Toggle indicating whether the schedule is active or not.
Report name
The report's title.

Download, pause, or delete scheduled reports

Existing scheduled reports are listed in the scheduled reporting wizard.

  1. Click More in the left navigation and select Reports.
  2. Select an existing report (any report).
  3. Click the ... (ellipsis) at the top of the report.
  4. Select Scheduled Report to open the scheduled reporting wizard.


     
  5. Choose the relevant option:
    1. Download: Hover over the relevant scheduled report and click Download.
    2. Pause: Use the toggle to stop the scheduled report from running.
    3. Delete: Click the trash can to permanently remove the scheduled report.

Best practices

  • Automate quarterly reporting: If you have a set of data your team or executives should see every quarter...automate the report to make sure they always get what they need.
  • Monitor project health: Schedule a weekly project health report to be sent to yourself (or your team) on Mondays so that you start the week knowing where things are at.
