Home dashboards give you a
personalized place
to start your day. Build dashboards around the
work that matters most to you, add widgets
from across Teamwork.com, and tailor each
dashboard for different projects,
responsibilities, or workflows.
Create a dashboard
Create additional dashboards
when you want
separate views for different workflows,
projects, teams, or reporting needs.
- Open Home.
- Select the + icon beside your dashboard tabs.

- Enter a dashboard name.
- Press Enter on your keyboard
or click your cursor away from the
field. If you click away before
entering a name, the new dashboard tab
defaults to "New dashboard."
Add widgets
Widgets display live information from across
Teamwork.com. Many widgets are interactive,
allowing you to open related work or drill
into more detailed information directly from
your dashboard.
- Open the dashboard you want to
update.
- Select Add widget.
- Browse the widget library or use search to
find a specific widget.
- Select a widget to add it to your
dashboard.

When Home is first
available, your default "Overview"
dashboard is
pre-populated with widgets based on your
role. You can remove, rearrange, replace,
or add widgets at any time.
Choose widgets for your
dashboard
Choose widgets that surface the information most relevant to each dashboard.
The widget library groups widgets
into categories to help you build dashboards
for different goals. Choose widgets that match
what you want to monitor.
Monitor
work, comments, and updates.
Review
logged time and billable work
trends.
Track
milestones, status, and delivery
health.
Track
profitability and financial
performance.
Monitor
active and high-priority risks.
Keep
supporting information close at
hand.
Once you've added widgets to a dashboard, many of them let you review details and complete common actions directly from Home. See Use Home dashboards to learn more about working with interactive widgets.
Arrange widgets
Rearrange widgets to create a dashboard
layout that is easy to scan.
- Open the dashboard you want to
update.
- Drag a widget using the handle beside the
widget name.
- Drop the widget into its new
position.

Customize widget
options
Each widget has its own options. The actions
available depend on the type of widget and the
information it displays.
| Option | What it
does |
|---|---|
| Filter | Refine the information shown
in a widget. Filter options
vary by widget. |
| Rename | Update the widget name when
the option is available. |
| Duplicate | Create a copy of the widget on
the dashboard. |
| Show as | Change the widget display type
when alternative views are
available, such as chart
display options. |
| Remove status
filters | Show or hide status-based
filters on task widgets where
the option is available. |
| Quick actions | Some widgets include related
actions, such as adding a task
or logging time. |
| Delete | Remove the widget from the
dashboard. |

Widget options are
not the same for every widget. If an
option is not available, it does not apply
to that widget type.
Filter widgets
Use filters to refine the data shown in a
widget. Filter options depend on the widget
type. For example, task widgets can include
task-related filters, while time widgets can
include time log date filters.
- Select the Filter icon on the
widget.
- Choose the filter you want to apply.
- Set the filter conditions.
- Add additional filters if needed.

Remove widgets
Remove widgets you no longer need so your
dashboard stays focused.
- Open the dashboard containing the
widget.
- Select the widget's Options menu.
- Select Delete.
- Confirm the deletion if prompted.
Manage dashboards
Use the dashboard options menu to manage individual dashboards, including duplicating or deleting them.

| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| Duplicate | Create a copy of an existing
dashboard. This is useful when
you want to use an existing
layout as the starting point
for a new dashboard. |
| Delete dashboard | Remove a dashboard you no
longer need. |
Deleting a dashboard
removes that dashboard from Home. Only
delete dashboards you no longer
need.
Best practices
- Create dashboards for different
responsibilities: Separate
dashboards for personal work, project
delivery, or reporting so each dashboard
stays focused on a specific goal.
- Keep dashboards focused: Remove
widgets you rarely use so the most
important information remains easy to
find.
- Use filters intentionally: Apply
filters when you need a more focused view,
but avoid making dashboards so narrow that
they stop giving you a useful
overview.
- Review your dashboards regularly: Update your layouts as projects,
priorities, and responsibilities
change.
