Within Teamwork, you can view your categories for the various items in your projects, such as messages and files.
You will see the categories listed in the pane on the left-hand side of the relevant area of your project. These areas include messages, files, notebooks, and links.
Clicking a category name will update the item list to show items only in that category.
For each category in the list you will see a count of the number of items it holds. When you have main categories with sub-categories, this number will change depending on:
- When the sub-categories are collapsed/hidden, the top-level category count reflects any items in the main category, plus items items in any sub-categories.
- When the sub-categories are expanded/visible, only the items directly in the main category are included in its count, excluding sub-category items. Each sub-category has its own item count.
At the bottom of the list, you will see No Category, which contains any items that haven't been added to a specific category.
Categories are automatically shown in alphabetical order.
