Within Teamwork.com, you can use your
inbox to keep track of the items most relevant
to you and your work.
Note: The Inbox feature is available on paid Teamwork.com subscriptions.
Your inbox is designed as a central
hub for updates relating to items assigned
directly to you, where you are specifically
mentioned, or are following. Other alerts
include when you are added to a project as
well as when comments are added to items
created or completed by you.
While the notification bell provides
extensive alerts for all actions and items on
your projects, the inbox shows a curated list
of updates to ensure your most important and
potentially actionable items are at the
forefront.
To view your inbox, go to the Home area of your site and select
the Inbox tab from the horizontal
navigation menu. When you have unread inbox
updates, a number indicator will be shown
alongside the Inbox tab label.
In the Inbox view,
your personal updates will be listed on the
left, ordered by date descending. When you
select an individual update, a details view of
the associated project item will open on the
right.
The top of the preview will include
a clickable breadcrumb trail of the item and
its associated project.
Use the left and
right arrows in the top right of the preview
view to move to the next inbox item.
Alternatively, you can quickly navigate
between the
items in the Inbox list using the
arrow keys (up, down, left, right) on your
keyboard.
Searching your inbox
Using the search field at the top of
the Inbox list, you can locate individual
inbox items. This will return items whose
title or contents matches your search
term.
Filtering your inbox
Click the filters button at the
top
of the Inbox view to view
the
filter options for your inbox.

Marking items as read
Unread items in your inbox will be indicated
with a blue dot to the right of the update.
Clicking an individual item to
preview it will mark the update as read.
You can also bulk mark all updates
in your inbox as read by clicking the options
button (three dots) at the top of the inbox
list and selecting Mark all as read from the dropdown.
Archiving inbox items
You can choose to archive
both read
and unread updates in your inbox,
meaning
you
can keep only items that require your
most
immediate attention in view.
To archive an individual item, hover over
the
item in the list and click the archive
icon on the
right. You can also archive the inbox
update by selecting the
archive option at the top of the
associated
project item details view.
Note: Archiving an inbox
update will not archive the associated
project
item the update relates to.
You can also bulk archive
all items in your inbox by clicking
the options button (three dots) at the
top of the inbox list and selecting Archive all from the
dropdown.
Viewing archived
items
To view your archived inbox
items, click the filters button at the
top
of the list and switch the active
filter
to either Archived
only or All.
An Archived label will be
shown at the top of each archived item
to
differentiate from active ones.
To unarchive, hover over an item
and click the unarchive icon. The item
will then be moved back to the active
group.
