Unito is a software tool that
enables you to sync your favorite work
management tools by pairing up projects and
repositories.
Note: The Unito
integration is available to all Teamwork.com
subscription plans. You will need to sign
up to Unito to use the
integration.
For any
queries relating to the Unito
integration, please
contact the Unito support
team.
Within Unito, you can sync your
Teamwork.com account with other third-party tools
such as Jira and GitHub.
Before using the integration, you will first
need to connect your Teamwork.com
account to Unito.
Creating a sync
In the Syncs area of your Unito account,
click the Add sync button
in the top right.
Using the arrow to the right, you can
choose a sync preference:
- Sync - limited to two projects.
- Multi-sync - connect three or more
projects.
In the projects selection view, click the
first Select a
tool dropdown and select your
existing connected Teamwork.com account.
Alternatively you can create a connection
to another Teamwork.com account.
Once you have selected your Teamwork.com
account, you can select an existing
project from your site to use in the sync.
You can then select your preferred
second app to
integrate with and follow
their authorization
flow.
Jira
When you select Jira as one of
the
tools to connect, you can choose an
existing
Jira project to sync with your selected
Teamwork.com project.
Once both tools have been selected,
you can adjust the sync direction settings
below the project details.
Sync options:
- Two-way sync: Tasks from your Teamwork.com
project and issues from your Jira project
will be synced in both
directions.
- Changes made in either project will be
copied to the other.
- One-way sync to Jira: Tasks from your
Teamwork.com project will be copied to your
Jira project.
- Nothing will be synced from Jira to
Teamwork.com.
- One-way sync to Teamwork.com: Issues from your
Jira project will be copied to your
Teamwork.com project.
- Nothing will be synced from Teamwork.com
to Jira.
Click Next to
proceed to the tasks selection stage of the
setup. Here, you can sync all open tasks and
issues, or filter the tasks.
For Teamwork.com, the filter option
allows you to include completed tasks. For
Jira, you can filter to include tasks based on
certain properties such as assignee or issue
type.
Click Next to move
to the field mapping options. This enables you
to choose which Teamwork.com task properties
should correspond to issue properties in
Jira.
Click Next to move
to the final step of the setup where you can
update your sync preferences.
Depending on your sync settings, any
issues you create in Jira will be added as
tasks in the associated Teamwork.com
project.
GitHub
When you use GitHub as the second tool,
you can choose an existing GitHub
repository to sync with your selected
Teamwork.com project.
Once both tools have been selected, you
can adjust the sync direction settings
below the project details.
Sync options:
- Two-way sync: Tasks from your Teamwork.com
project and issues from your Jira
repository will be synced in both
directions.
- Changes made in either place will
be copied to the other.
- One-way sync to GitHub: Tasks from
your Teamwork.com project will be copied
to your GitHub repository.
- Nothing will be synced from GitHub
to Teamwork.com.
- One-way sync to Teamwork.com: Issues from
your GitHub repository will be copied
to your Teamwork.com project.
- Nothing will be synced from
Teamwork.com to GitHub.
Click Next to proceed
through the remaining setup steps. These
options are similar for all apps. Like
with Jira, you can filter the tasks and
issues that are synced, adjust the field
mapping, and change your sync
preferences.
Depending on your sync
settings, any
issues you create in your GitHub
repository will be added as tasks in
the
associated Teamwork.com project.
