Within Teamwork Projects you can filter time entries that have been logged on project items.

In the Everything area of your site, go to the Time tab.

Note: When filtering time we will first filter based on the task name and then apply secondary sorting based parent task names. This will help to group tasks with the same title together.

To access filters choose the filter icon to right of the page.

Note: This icon will appear blue if an active and applied filter is in place.

Once this is selected the filtering options will appear in the right pane.


You can filter by any project across all companies and choose the project or multiple projects from the Project section.

You can also filter projects by company. When this is chosen from the dropdown, you can pick a company under Choose companies to display time logs for user's from that company.

Project Status

Filter based on a particular project status such as active or late. Here, you can also choose to include archived projects, or show only starred projects.



When filtering by people you can choose to filter by users or company.

  • When filtering by user you can choose a specific user or users and view the time they have logged across all companies.
  • When you filter by company you will see all time logged by all users on that company.
You also have the option here to include items from deleted users.

  • When this is selected, deleted users will then appear in the People dropdown.


When setting the date, you can choose to see results for when time has been logged using the set time frames found within the dropdown.

You can also choose to set a custom date range to view time logged within a time frame of your choosing.


When filtering your tags you can choose to view time logs with specific tags assigned to them or view tasks which have had time logged and include the tag you choose.

Note: You can filter any results that include one or more matching tags. Alternatively, you can select the Match all tags option which will then only return results which include all selected tags.


You can view time logged as both Billable and Non Billable or to only show one or the other.


You can view time logged as invoiced or non invoiced or choose one or the other.

Show / Hide Columns

If you wish to exclude certain areas of the time report you can un-tick the boxes and the area will be removed from the main window of the time section. This is helpful for seeing only the relevant information to you.

You can also drag and drop the various areas of the filter to change the layout to your liking.

Save Filter

You can choose to save any filter you have created for use at a later time. This will then appear within the Saved Filters section of filter right pane.

You can also change quickly between saved filters by clicking on the filter name to the top of the page.

Note: Only users on paid subscriptions can save filters.
