Within Teamwork Projects, you can add project items to your projects using the Slack integration.
When you hover over a message in Slack, you will see a menu to the right. Click the options (three dots) button to see further options for the message.
The integration allows you to add a task or message from the Slack message, as well as share a link from a message.
You will see the 3 most recently used actions in the options menu. Click 'More message options' to see more.
Adding a task
You can create a task from messages in your Slack channels by selecting 'Add a task' from the options menu:
In the task modal, you will be able to choose a project to add the task to, as well as add a title and description.
By default, the task description will be populated with the text from the selected Slack message.
Adding a message
You can create a Projects message from a Slack message by selecting 'Add as message' from the options menu:
In the message modal, you will be able to choose a project to add the message to, as well as add a message subject and description.
By default, the message description will be populated with the text from the selected Slack message.
Sharing a link
In the link modal, you will be able to choose a project to share the link to.
In the settings modal, you can set:
- Default Project - Choose a default project from your site to add items to
- Auto assign - When a user from your Projects site is not mentioned in the task name to be assigned to it, auto assign the item to the user account creating the task
- Only starred projects - Only display starred projects as options in the projects dropdown for adding items to
- When adding a task - either fill the title or description first
